SMS Terms & Proof of Consent

Last updated: May 5, 2026

About D1 Operations Group

D1 Operations Group (“D1 Ops,” “we,” “us”) is a boutique consulting practice providing operational consulting services to commercial trades and services businesses. We operate a private client portal at portal.d1ops.com. SMS is sent only to existing client contacts who have a formal business engagement with us and who have explicitly opted in through the flow described below.

How We Collect Consent

D1 Ops is invite-only. Contacts cannot self-register. SMS consent is collected directly from the contact through a secure web form. The administrator never opts a contact in on their behalf. The full process is:

  1. A D1 Ops administrator enters the contact's name, email, and phone number into an internal admin contact form. The admin form has no SMS opt-in field — the admin cannot consent on the contact's behalf.
  2. On save, the system emails the contact a unique, one-time confirmation link (/confirm/{token}). The token is a random UUID, single-use, and expires after 14 days.
  3. The contact opens the link in their browser and lands on a publicly-accessible confirmation page. There they review and may edit their name, email, and phone, and (optionally) tick an SMS opt-in checkbox. The exact language of the checkbox is reproduced verbatim below.
  4. When the contact submits the form, the timestamp of the consent event is stored in the database (contact.sms_consent_at) and the token is invalidated. No SMS can be sent to that contact until this field is populated.

Contacts who do not tick the box never receive any SMS from D1 Ops. The opt-in checkbox is unchecked by default and disabled entirely if the contact has not provided a phone number; no message is ever sent implicitly.

Opt-In Form — Verbatim Reproduction

The following is a static reproduction of the contact-facing confirmation page at /confirm/{token} where the contact themselves provides SMS consent. The checkbox is shown unchecked — its actual default state in the live form. Consent is recorded only when the contact actively ticks the box and submits.

Confirm my info

The live confirmation page is reachable only with a valid single-use token sent by email, so D1 Ops reproduces the full opt-in UI above so anyone — including carrier compliance reviewers — can see the exact branding, form context, and consent language the contact interacts with. The checkbox is unchecked by default; consent is only recorded when the contact actively ticks it and submits.

What Messages We Send

D1 Ops sends only transactional, account-related SMS messages. We do not send marketing, promotional, political, or solicitation messages of any kind.

Message types:

  • New document notifications. When a D1 Ops administrator publishes a new document to your workspace, you may receive a text notifying you and linking directly to the document.
  • Status update notifications. When a D1 Ops administrator posts a new status update to your workspace, you may receive a text notifying you and linking to the update.
  • Login verification codes (optional). If you choose to sign in via SMS rather than email, you will receive a one-time 6-digit verification code per login attempt.

Message frequency: varies by engagement. A typical client receives fewer than one SMS per week. No recurring or scheduled messages are sent.
